ELECT LADY DEIRDERE E. SMITH

EARLY LIFE & CAREER

 

Elect Lady Deirdere Elizabeth Goodman-Smith is a native of Albany, Georgia. She is the daughter of Walter and the late Marva Goodman.

She attended public school in Albany, Ga, and graduated from Monroe High School in 1978. After graduating from high school, she attended college at Albany State College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics and Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. Later in life, she continued her education and received a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Albany State University and a Specialist Degree in School Counseling from Valdosta State University.

Her first occupation after graduating from college was as a Mathematics Teacher for grades 6th -12th at Sherwood Christian Academy. After one year of teaching, she decided to pursue a career in corporate America and was employed by Prestolite Wire Corporation in Tifton, Georgia as a Quality Control Supervisor and later promoted to the Metrology Manager.

After marriage, she relocated back to Albany and was hired by Albany State University as an Academic Advisor. Her Master’s Degree in School Counseling gave her an opportunity of employment in Worth County School District as a Graduation Coach and later promoted to be a School Counselor. She is currently working as a Professional School Counselor at Worth County Middle School.

CALLING TO MINISTRY

 

She has severed in many capacities of ministry and has a passion to train and develop vessels to hear, understand, and obey the Word.

Lady Smith oversees the Women of Excellence Ministry and loves to encourage women from all backgrounds to excel in their spiritual, personal, and professional lifestyle.

PERSONAL LIFE

 

She is actively involved in her community and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

Her favorite scripture is “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Elect Lady Smith is married to Prophet Ronald Smith and they have one child, Joshua Theophilus Smith.
